Een klein en bijzonder torentje dat in 1938 werd gebouwd, maar door zijn ligging en sfeer voelt alsof het al eeuwenlang over het bos waakt.
Midden tussen de dennen en eiken van het Smithuyserbos vormt het een magisch decor waar de Tachtigjarige Oorlog kortstondig tot leven is gewekt.
Het is alsof je even door een scheur in de tijd stapt.
Het torentje is het best bereikbaar met de fiets; daarmee kun je tot vlak bij Wolfsdreuvik komen. Wie lopend komt vanaf de parkeerplaats aan de Zwarteweg, is nog minimaal vijftien minuten onderweg — maar die wandeling maakt de belevenis alleen maar rijker.
Een pendelbusje zal rijden vanaf de Zwarteweg naar het evenement en terug. Tegen een geringe vergoeding kunt u meerijden, als er plaats is.
